Bookkeeping for Trucking Companies
Fuel, drivers and loads, organized for Winnipeg and Manitoba carriers and owner-operators
Trucking businesses run on tight margins and constant paperwork. Fuel, repairs, driver pay and insurance all hit the books every week. We keep your records organized so you can see what each truck and each load really earns, and so your filings are ready when they are due.
What we handle
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliation, including fuel cards
- Fuel, maintenance and repair tracking by truck
- Driver pay and payroll, source deductions, T4s and ROEs
- Invoicing and accounts receivable follow-up
- GST and Manitoba RST tracking and returns
- Monthly financial statements and cash-flow reports
- Organized records for your tax filings
Common challenges we help with
- Receipts and fuel statements that pile up on the road
- Not knowing the real profit per truck or per load
- Slow-paying customers and tight cash flow
- Mixing personal and business expenses
- Owner-operators unsure which records to keep
Some carriers have fuel tax or cross-border reporting obligations, such as IFTA. We keep your fuel and distance records organized for those filings and tell you honestly when a specialist is the right person to prepare them.
How it works
We start with a free consultation, send a written fixed-price proposal, set up and tidy your current books, then deliver reconciled books and reports every month. Catch-up for earlier months is billed at your package’s regular monthly rate for each month, and backlogs longer than 12 months are quoted in writing first. See our pricing.
General information only. Tax and regulatory requirements depend on your situation and change over time. We will tell you what applies to your business, and we do not provide audit or assurance engagements.
